Flowers Of Tradescantia

Author 'Ondine' (Id 183292 ) : My tradescantias are dead this winter, but well protected, as every year, under a large garden table against a wall to the south . But surprise, surprise, the cuttings which I had put in the ground has survived, like what we cannot always predict a happy surprise ! I love these small, simple flowers that we offer this plant, of which the beauty lies in the foliage, bordeaux.

So you had good luck with them, it's great that they will come back. They are so pretty, here, with these beautiful leaf colors bordeaux. It seems like they fly away, the flowers with the leaves of wing shapes ! Great success, Geneviève !

Thank you for your passage, Elly, and thank you to all the others who have passed away ; yes I was very happy that this simple cuttings, planted in a parterre where the land is poor, and because I don't like to throw up, gave me that pleasure, this is my 'misery' (its other name), preferred, no doubt because of the red foliage, I would have missed !

This is a nice shot of the tradescantia pallida 'purpurea' also called 'Misery Purple', it is a flower originally from Mexico, beautiful small pink flowers that usually grow at the ends.
Me too, I have flowers that have not stood planted in the earth, and who have preferred to stay in the pot, it is surely due to the acidity of the soil, limestone or not, or simply do not support the frosts, it resists to -5°C, not less, beautiful photo, I like it a lot.
