Fortesse austere and church very rich

Author 'Perronnet Catherine' (Id 211344 ) : This place brings together with the remains of the moors in the Ninth century a monastery-fortress of the Order of the Templars of the Twelfth century and the church of the Knights of Christ in the Fourteenth century. The set is huge and in pretty good condition. The photo shows the difference in style between the austere fortress of the knights Templar and the Convent of Christ, of the manueline style, which is classified as a Unesco world heritage site.

The photo has adequate lighting. The austerity of the stone defensive is very well-identified in this photograph. See you soon for other photos. Marcel.

Thank you for everything Marcel and I agreed to 'the hostility of the stone defensive' and what I find beautiful is the contrast with the church is very elaborate, and the purpose of which was different of course.

Building an unusual, two-in-one as it is said, with 2 centuries gap.
Your photo is very successful, it does highlight the difference of styles. You could have straighten it a little.
You do not have the program shiftN ?

Yes I know, I should improve my photos, but I'm active and I already spend enough time sitting in front of the computer : maybe one day... The important thing for me is to focus on what I had decided to take the photo, and usually I manage to do it. The rest will be for another life ! So, I don't have the thing you're talking about. Thank you for your visit.

It is almost certain that this fortress will still stand when the works of our architects will be gone !
Thank you for your visit.

Some buildings are very difficult to take a photo of it because it was usually not enough down, but here we can, however, appreciate the different style that you describe so well.

You're right Ninik, all the more that these buildings are huge ! But I wanted to show the 2 styles are so different nested one in the other. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

You also have the concern that we show the original images. Technically it is successful, we see clearly the details of the stones ; a bit of lace to the left, the massive walls to the right and finally the whole is not unsightly. Thank You Cathy.

Thank you for everything Joel : this site is great with this mix of architecture and the contrast between the fortress very stripped and the church very elaborate and very well preserved ! This is not obvious to share it with a photo !
