I bought an onion and I found a beautiful blue flower that has taken the size of a balloon. It is true that initially it looks like the thistle, but at maturity, it is beautiful.

Ho there... I see that Panda and Christian are not quite the same point of view in regards to this pretty blue flower. We have been very fortunate to have specialists who come to our every desire.
Bravo to you and to you Domi, without which the plant would never have been identified.

This plant is also known as blue thistle or ball cerulean. It is a perennial plant, it is part of the family compositae. Echinops comes from the Greek Echinos, which means hedgehog, and opsis meaning appearance. Its fruit crested welded to the base are toxic.

I think that this plant is ECHINOPS asteraceae-RITRO. It is a plant of Europe and Asia, it is close to the thistle foliage is pungent. Its height can reach up to 80 cm.

Beautiful ball blue, can be a variety of thistle to see the leaves. The framework does not contrast enough with the background of the photo.
