This is not a gecko but a tail lash, a Uromastyx acanthinura nigriventris to be exact.
It is a male. It is a species that lives in North Africa.
I breed this species, as well as many other lizards, including geckos.
Stewbal was right (except for Uromastyx that takes a y)
See the book of Olivier Antonini (Animalia editions) for the skeptics.
Cordially.

The photos are beautiful but my son has one in his vivarium: it is a Uromastix also known as "whip-tail" because of its tail that serves as a defense. It seems that in Africa North, he was grilled on the beaches to enjoy the tail! If you were presented under a different name, so who is right? LOL!

It is indeed a gecko, viewed and commented on by the owners of the vivarium, the zoo! Sorry: 18:!

He looks puzzled and curious. It is a beautiful specimen. In Africa they are sometimes eaten: 11:. It's too bad, right? This is fine, thank you: 5:.

Like the other, no small curiosity to Australia, an animal that I did not know either, thank you.
