Author 'Duluc51' (Id 207386 ) : The giant panda is a mammal usually classified in the family ursidés, and native to central China.
He lives in the centre of China, in mountainous areas covered with forests of altitude, such as Sichuan province, some parts of Shaanxi, or the autonomous region of Tibet, between 1 800 and 3 400 metres. A region difficult of access to Europeans before the mid-19th century, which explains its description late in the West.
