Author 'Chasseur de temps' (Id 131457 ) : The harde2 - After presenting Nicoledesplat on this same topic so you can measure the level of difficulty it has overcome I wanted to offer you this photo which, if enabled, will show you what can be obtained after a full night spent on top of a watchtower, as soon as the first light of hope can capture an image. This photo on which there has been no cropping or editing was done during the rut in the Ardennes, with a Canon A1 loaded with a color film pushed 1600asa. The herd was located about fifty meters.

Unfortunately we can often put an "if" in commenting on a photo, but I am perfectly aware I am not "Mr. Sun" and unfortunately in situations like these, I have no power to broadcast light! : 18:

The silver grain is still very present ... And even: 4: as was said to Nicole, if you had gone through the fire to the stereotype, the prestige of the scene is not transcribed at fair value ... Too bad, because what a picture!

Photographically speaking, of course you're absolutely right. The grain is clear and that is why I wondered if this picture happen. The Web has been validated and I thank him. When I chose this extreme sensitivity I knew that would happen and I had no other way to capture such a scene. It was that or nothing! I proposed today to illustrate the obstacles to overcome in the work done by Nicole and because I think that "the prestige of the scene" can not be assessed in this case In the same way, according to the criteria normally used. The atmosphere of the scene, the behavior of the herd inform me more about the approach of the photographer and for me more important than anything else because I know the author then may recur and be able to in a few minutes while reporting on a herd freedom without stress at all and without causing her flight.

It is mainly a reward after passing through a temperature below 5 ° C and in complete darkness, a dozen hours listening to the breath of the forest and the beating of his heart cut from time to time by belling of some great deer. One feels very close, sometimes we hear a pretender to defend too rash, access to his harem of courtesans. It garnered memories. We are ready to endure everything because we know that from first light, these actors yet unseen venues our eyes ... if we chose the right place! As for blunders, this is evidence left by the lab certifying that the negative was developed and shot in its entirety and at no time the image was cropped. (This photo has a good thirty years).
