I've seen a hoopoe for the 1st time last week in the Aveyron She is placed in front of us in the garden She landed with grace and then beat wings and left after blowing his crest. What a beautiful bird !!!

Beautiful photo of this hoopoe. It is a bird always interesting to look at, when we are lucky enough to come across one. The photo puts it perfectly, it stands out from the solid background.
When you have the chance to be able to take such a snapshot, it does not reflect the choice of the background. This solid-color suits me well.
Congratulations

Great composition of this crest, playing on the diagonals of the image with the body, beak and head plumage. The expo is the contrast between dark and neutral background, and the pastel plumage. You can not resist, and the unfortunate larva either! : 18:

Anne thank you for sharing! : 6:

Hello Julie. The hoopoe feeds mainly on larvae, worms and large insects, I saw a huge dragonfly beak. This pretty little face ... larva? Finally much longer: 18:

: 11: you're wrong year, the consumption of larvae or worms, that's fun (especially RAW: 11:) and essential if we want to win Koh Lanta: 18: more seriously some experts believe that the consumption insect is a solution to feeding problems in the future, rich in protein it will replace meats such as beef, we eat a lot of good snails and frogs ... : 18: A grasshopper en croute with Madeira sauce, I drooling: 20:

Oh that this crest is pretty. Your photo is very sharp. Sometimes there are one or two on the roof but I can not stereotype. They are fearful and fly very fast. Thank you for this beautiful sharing.

It took Dubai to take wildlife photography: 18: it's true that this bird has assets of seduction even in some non-erected position: 11: beautiful sharpness, framing for me a little tight, perhaps the portrait would been more appropriate background (a wall?) a little sad for him to let go this prey (color-matched) it took hadst remember his classics: the crow and the fox: hey, Madam hoopoe, you are nice that you seem nice, if your song ... etc. ... but we will not make any cheese: 19: More.

Hello Pascal, I could use this scheme for the dropping of prey except I do not personally coveted ... : 18: Yes, a wall plastered clear background, not very aesthetic but at least he had the advantage of being neutral. Good day and more.
