I have finally found my calebassier

Author 'Ninik' (Id 247003 ) : This flower grows on the trunk of a tree, the calebassier (Crescentia cujete) is a small tropical tree native to tropical America, of which the fruit wood is used as a vessel, under the name of calabash or coui. Now that I know where is this tree, I will keep eye to see if it bears fruit.

A beautiful image and a beautiful flower that I didn't know and even less that its fruit is the gourd. Thank you for these explanations.

very original, a flower that grows on the bark of the tree. I have a calabash dried, I wonder if it comes from this kind of tree ???

Thank you for this discovery is curious to me. The flower grows directly on the trunk regardless of tree branches and leaves ! If there are fruits you we show.

Yes, I am going to hold it to the eye, especially as a cacao tree is in bloom also, and it will be interesting to see the fruit grow, also directly on the trunk and large branches.
