I want the same Car

Author 'Jofu' (Id 230872 ) : We are on the place de la Comedie, Bordeaux, in front of the Grand Hotel is located right opposite the Grand Theatre.
The passer-by looks at the beautiful car as a child looks at toys in a beautiful Christmas showcase. I found the scene amusing.

You'd make a good journalist. the place of this man, I would have said 'Okay, she's only 2-door' or 'I don't like the colour'.

... or even : 'I could not put a shoe box in the trunk' . Thank You Ninik.

Here is a rare photo anthropisée, style Doisneau, who tells a story that everyone can imagine in his own way. This exchange of roses and robins, which, alas, are dumb. Me, I see very well a syrian refugee man, escaped from their home, that dream car that he probably will never. I wish him the best still a Clio at Christmas, perhaps.

The photo tells a story, it is safe ; you know it's not easy to photograph a red throat, I don't know how to do. There is definitely a contrast, but we can tell the story in his own way, a Syrian, perhaps, or a Bordeaux which, despite its allure may be a fortune hidden somewhere. Thank you for your passage.

A beautiful image in b&B, we swear that the guy really looks and with envy this car. A beautiful scene.

This is an example of the class struggle, you have been able to fit this character just as it is necessary to admire this car.

Class struggle in which the winners are always the same . Thank You Domi.

This scene is well framed and full of realism with the N&B. I would see from an old movie to me asking about the previous frames and following... Lovely look : congratulations Joel and thank you.

Ah yes, Mady, I remember that thou hast said to love cars. You don't speak like some of the girls who have spoken here, . Thank you for your passage.

a photo that speaks necessarily of the contrast between the way a very modest one stopping short in front of a world diametrically opposed to his own. The B&w suits very well.

Thank you for your time Cathy. The 05/12 at 12h02 you were... let's see, in German courses or in the restaurant, , below the place de la Comédie.

I was still in the German course, which lasts until 12: 15 pm, Lafayette Street, 2 steps from the restaurant, The Belle Epoque.

The N&B is ok, well handled ; we would like to know the background of her thought to this man : admiration or scorn ? You had reason to freeze this scene of daily life. thank you Joel.

Maybe neither disdain nor admiration. I will never have a Porsche and I have neither the means nor the desire to own one ; it does not prevent me to look at this type of car when he passes a in my field of vision. Thank you Gilbert for your passage.

Me in all of this, by reading all the comments, I accept that there is only one thing that this Gentleman has lost it permanently : a part of the hair. For me, luxury has no attraction, it makes me not even dream. But to each his own. But I understand that you have wanted to capture photographically this time. The character behind the car, is more interested in his laptop.

You're the third girl not to leave you impressed by the luxury cars, the . I photographed the scene because I thought the contrast was interesting ; it can also do several readings. Thank You Marie-France.

How ? Have you ever broke down in front of a sports car ? When I was young it was said that this was a 'vacuum cleaner to nanas' . Monique thank you for your passage.

A photo full of contrasts the black and white is well chosen ; And then the contrast between the silver and the modesty of this man who seems very lonely on his side of the sidewalk. Jofu for this photo journalistic

Always more luxury, still a bit of a dream ? The poverty that explodes it's the society today
Relentless. Beautiful shot (tb+).

Personally, I'm not against luxury, that makes the economy function, but I am against poverty and it is growing. We know nothing of the way, this was not a HOMELESS person but a gentleman 'all the world' may be less silver than others ; who knows, the loot may be hidden in her backpack . I'm kidding, and I probably shouldn't. Thank you for your passage.

> Candy [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Dec 11, 2016
Hello Jofu, your shot makes me think of the series long ago 'The rich and the Poor'. For me who am not a car at all the nice car leaves me indifferent. A beautiful shot in b&w, or everyone sees what he wants to 'injustice, jealousy, difference and indifference' Thank you for sharing.

Bravo for this shot in black and white, well-aligned and net

Who does not dream of having a beautiful car and be a customer of a hotel of this class. Unfortunately it is reserved for an 'elite'.
Good choice of black and white for a photo at the 'message'.
(TB). I might have referred a little more to the right to keep the car a bit of an edge, but the character would not have been fair on a high point. Then maybe fit a little wider ?

Ah this is a cliché which says a lot. By cons I do not feel at all the same thing by seeing this picture, this man seems to be of modest means, and it is hard enough as cliché. In any case, a sacred picture which should raise the debate ! Exceptional.

So, we feel without a doubt it's the same thing. My title is perhaps too ironic and suggests that I can have fun at the expense of the man obviously in modest condition but it is not. I could have been in his place, without hood, without shoes, without a plastic bag it is true and... without envy. We are here in the heart of the elegance of bordeaux, in front of this hotel where stop of beautiful limousines and coupés racy ; 200 m further away of the HOMELESS sleep in the streets. I have gathered on the photo are two representatives of two social classes visibly different ; everyone reacts with his own sensibility. I thank you Claude for your passage and your comment interesting.
