Lake of Villefort in the Cevennes Lozeriennes

Author 'Boucher Marc dit de Meilh' (Id 210476 ) : In the course of my short stay in the Cevennes and Lozere, I made a stop at the Lake of Villefort or Lake Bayard. This lake is a great water retainer 'drinking' due to the dam of Villefort, it is powered by Chassezac and the Haughty. Lac de Villefort is located in the sum at the foot of the monts Lozère, at 580 metres above sea level, is approximately 70 meters deep and 1, 27 square km. Villefort (48800) is a village of Lozère (Cévennes) 598 inhabitants (Villefortais.) The department of the Lozere is the least populated of France with 15 inhabitants per square Km. The dam of the lake is beautifully framed in a landscape that offers a splendid background that I put at the moment. Bravo Marc, thank you and see you soon in your gallery for your other photo.

That is, the fan, the interest in the effect of such a site FEI. I didn't know this 'lake' Bayard, dam public utility and quasi-general... ; economic. The site has enabled the coup, others like me who do not know, to be able to make a landscape interesting and useful on our national territory. It is nice to be able to identify, detect, enumerate ; show the richness of our territory keeps in his breast, sometimes in secret, for some (like me.) Thank you and best regards, Marc.

I love the Lozère, its harshness and its beauty deserves. We go there from time to time going for walks. This photo is a great inspiration on these wild landscapes.

I could not go there without taking a snapshot. The lake Bayard if blue at this moment as a precious stone (it is) in the midst of its mountains and the Mont Lozère. Yes, the harshness of the territory's pastoral, the harshness given to the strength of the hands that knew how to build stone after stone... You have to live here, you should still be able to live and morally it must not be easy... Thank you Catherine, Marc.

This is the Gipsy that I thought of you, and thank you for your quick comment. It is true that the scenery is beautiful, quiet but busy in the summer period. The greenery, there is that this with a lot of chanterelles this year, I goutté a lot and very good, exquisite. These places are the least densely populated of France with 15 inhabitants per square kilometre. I wish you a good end of the week. : Marc.
