Hi Mireille, thank you for your passage and as a favorite. Metz is a beautiful city, besides the imperial district is awaiting classification as World Heritage by UNESCO.

Thank you Julie, but compared to your pictures, I have little merit, the look takes time to wait, there is no car, passing and my subject is docile. Has anyone ever seen a flying cathedral! : 19: But there would be an exceptional shot!

Thank you for the labrum and the setting as favorite. I made a reversal: the top photo was taken from the place of comedy and the lower chamber from the place (I posted during my sleep)!

Hello Candy, if you have a tripod, you should try: I did it with the FZ 38, you're better and this should not pose particular problems you (my first night photos were taken with a compact Casio 6 MP and they are good)!

Josy thank you, although I love Strasbourg and its cathedral, the city of Metz and a different style is beautiful and pleasant!

I thought the title was related to the night version as we see here. Lantern day and night thus: 18: Your intro is accurate and interesting as always. The different camera angles give a good view of the whole, magnificent! : 2:

Anne thank you for your passage. I think the name is quite old, at a time when the lighting was non-existent (I think originally built around 1250 to 1220). So the evening and I think especially the Easter Vigil and Midnight Mass and Evensong other more than at present), the glow of many candles would make the building look like a huge lantern night!
