Lava Roquelaure

Author 'Bourgoin.claude' (Id 230071 ) : Always ride in the upper Aveyron, here is the lava flow of Roquelaure near the village of St Come d'olt.
It is a geological curiosity, since several million years ago nothing has ever grown on this chaos of rocks of basalt which stretches for several kilometres, if not a few lichens.
Sorry for the brightness of the photo but it was the dark of the night.

Thank you Catherine for your comment. If you go on the net and that you enter a 'lava flow of roquelaure' you'll see other photos and the geological explanation of this phenomenon.
