The son of Polemaenus, Tiberius Julius Aquila will undertake the construction of the library to home, in the burial vault is placed below the central niche of the reading room, the sarcophagus of the deceased father, adorned with bas-reliefs representing Eros, Nike, garlands and rosettes. The excavations in 1904, in which the sarcophagus to be opened, will deliver the skeleton of Celsius encased in a second sarcophagus of lead placed inside the first.

Beautiful photo that represents a slice of our western civilization... Saint Paul has visited these places (there are almost 2000 years old) to instruct religiously the ephesians of the time.

Thank you Duluc, and I add, that the blessed virgin Mary has finished the last four years of his life in Ephesus. Moreover, since the ruins we see the statue of the virgin Mary (I took a photo of it, but not really good quality).
