Congratulations on this good start, the play of shadow and light on the bells very clear.

+: A stroke of luck to have the hatching stage as accurately and with bells that are not angled down! Shame not to have the same photo in the profile shape of the bell. Is this a montage? No lily has stems as short bells! : 18:

-:The clipping of flowers on a black background ... um ...

The blade is beautiful, pity you did not think to complete the image by a thin rim: 6:: 4:.

Lack of leaves and it would be better in profile, it does not look like thrush.

Me too, this photo leaves me cold.
I admit that choosing a contrasting black was a good idea. However, the fact of looking under the skirt of these ladies leaves me uncomfortable. If the flowers were of profile, 1/2 or 3/4, the photo would be more beautiful. Finally, it is just a personal opinion.

It is nice but it is plastic and loses its natural.
If it is wanted it is because very anatomical.

> Pasdepseudo >Reply May 01, 2008
The simple composition is interesting, bare-bones, but the sharpness not very accurate ; we believe we see a cutting of each flower, too.

I love all the photo that you have made, it is original :
The first in the champagne coupe is breathtaking.

The photo is successful, but we recognize little of the lily of the valley, it is a pity.

I love it on this black background, I do a lot of photos in this way. Bravo !

This photo was taken for the view from the inside, but despite this I found not to my taste.

The lighting in cons-diving is always difficult to practise. The flowers seem to agraphées on a backing of velvet. On the three bells at the bottom, you can't tell the bell shape of the lily of the valley.

I continue... A lesson in framing, as in the good books of photos. So... Why was this photo left me-t-it cold ? This is not the small strip of white left by the scalpel of photoshop bothers me... well, I've just find it : it is a lesson of anatomy, dissection, precise and cold. While the lily of the valley it is the 1 may, the spring, the feast. And the poetry ?

> Deuchman >Reply May 06, 2007
Technically it is perfect, the depth of field is sufficient, even at the top, the spot metering allows a proper exposure, and photoshop to fix the rest for contrast. The composition follows the route of light which enters the photo at the top left down to the right, bounces off the right edge and then comes out at the bottom left. Of classic and well made, we find it in all good.
