Author 'Ninik' (Id 111797 ) : Lion ... Braine-l'Alleud but DIT Waterloo, front view. The mound marks the spot where the Prince of Orange was (slightly) wounded during the Battle (18-6-1815). It was built between 1824 and 1826. At a height of 43 m, it surrounds a cylinder of masonry supporting a stone pedestal surmounted by a lion of cast iron 4, 45 m in height and weighing 28 tons. In 1863 a flight of 226 steps was added.

Thank you for your comments. The hump is actually artificial because the land surrounding a cylinder of masonry. I may have seen the Mousson hill at the time we take the A7 to go south, but nearly 20 years we take the A9 to Perpignan and we'll through Rheims, Auxerre, Nevers, Clermont-Ferrand.

1: This hill is a form so regular that one might think artificial. Have you ever seen the hill Mousson (near Pont-à-Mousson), we see from the highway between Metz and Nancy?
