Little egret

Author 'Boucher Marc dit de Meilh' (Id 201702 ) : Water bird, little Egret (Egretta garzetta), found in the banks of the Rhône, in the ecological site of the surroundings of Lyon. This bird like places with water, but usually in shallow water and even brackish. The little Egret lives most of the time in trees at the edges of hedgerows and streams. It nests in bushes, reed beds and pond in the nest 3 to 5 eggs, blue-green in the course of the months of April to may. Ph : Marc de Meilhan Butcher.

Only one thing appeals to me, his legs should be yellow/green at the ends !

Thank you Gg for your interesting answer. I think about the end of the legs which are usually of a greenish-yellow, very little visible on my photo, in fact probably because there would have been an 'over-dose' of light, a slight overexposure caused by the reflection of the sun on the floor and the reverberation of the water that day... True that the wood stork is furtive and fearful. Thank you and good week. Marc.
