Lock Lock

Author 'Charly' (Id 84792 ) : Lock Vic is on the Canal du Midi in Castanet-Tolosan, Toulouse in the suburbs. The shape of this "river" of the lock caught my attention. Seen from the bridge over the Canal, its shape looks like a lock. Probably the one that opens the door to these marvelous landscapes traversed by the Canal du Midi between Toulouse and the Thau lagoon. : 5:

I love this picture, it appears a pastoral atmosphere, great! Best wishes from Portugal in 2011. Pierre64f1

I recognize this lock of Vic, but the shutters and doors of the house, originally were green like all the buildings of the Canal du Midi. It was more gay. What do you think?

Amazing Picture of the channel:) I was born in Toulouse and now I live in London so when i see this kind of pictures, it's a direct return to my sources! Thank you for That;).
Moderator's Response: With the usual caveats: "Nice picture of the channel. I was born in Toulouse and now I live in London, so when I see this kind of photography is a direct return to my roots! I thanks for that. "

: 17:: 17:: 17:: 2: this should be a joy to live with this lock but the lock keeper's work was done manually, 20 barges per day on average, raise the gates and open or close doors the airlock, it was hard for a woman: HATS OFF, MADAME! (An old friend who knew the business (in response to ANDRE I had known in years 50:60).

I lived 18 years in this lock: lock keeper was my mother, I've always have fond memories was from 1942 to 1959: the dream life for children in nature and every day at the edge water, often in fishing boatmen and friends that we were doing. I will return about once a year, now I'm away: it has changed! : 3:

In the axis of the lock, the view is both technical and romantic by its style and tone similar to those of water. It will go in the game related photos. : 3:: 3:

I am very familiar with this lock, I lived there for 18 years, my mother was there eclusieresi, Lock Vic looks like this now because in 1978 the work of lengthening some basins were was started and then stopped, while I prefer it as it was originally: sentimental question, perhaps:
> Eden04 >Reply Aug 07, 2009
A beautiful view of the lock with his environment. Thank you. : 4:

I know very well there, I live nearby! The picture is super! It complies with the light of this peaceful place, in form of lock I understand that this was a story of pressure on the structure and strength.
> Armando >Reply Jun 06, 2009
: 3: Super, the light is real, I know this lock, a quiet and relaxing. : 3:: 5:: 6:

> Domi [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply May 16, 2009
Ditto for leaning to the right, but good. The place is nice and this lock has a form for the least original.
> Marcel >Reply May 16, 2009
A small effect discussed comes from the location shooting. (no center) The image has many components. For against, I would have liked to know why this form in 'keyhole'?
> Odon [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply May 16, 2009
Excellent shoot centered easy when you know the marinier which gives you access to the upper deck, cruise Charly good! : 1:: 18:: 18:

A photo of a rather simple but the colors and the flowing water, are so natural that one would believe it. : 3:
> Tsouret [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 16, 2009
I like the tones of the image. Strangely this picture gives me the impression that it leans slightly to the right, but with you it seems highly unlikely. : 18:
