Loir sleep or sleep of just 5343RgiR

Author 'Gilbair' (Id 224538 ) : Just the beginning of March, it is still cold, but it wakes up the aerodrome of Montricher. Doing the cleaning of the closets of the Club-house we found this dormouse asleep in a dish. He did not even awake while being carried in a place more suitable for it to continue its hibernation !

Thank you for the visit. I am glad that this charming animal you like. But it is better not to try to get him to cuddle when he wakes up, it is a rodent, and he has good teeth !

> Gilbair >Reply Mar 12, 2016
Hello Sophie, thank you for your visit and interest you in this 'friendly' creature. But we need to put things in point. This animal sleeps 'when and if' it is cold. He slept in this casserole because it was cold in the kitchen as in other rooms of the club house with this additional advantage, that there are always a few small remnants of food or smells enticing (for a dormouse). As soon as the temperature rises for a few days, he wakes up and he file !
Each year in the spring, my colleagues at the club means their 'end-of-lease annual' with eviction on several dormice squatters at a time when we reinvest the places. Last year it was a family of 3 individuals in a saucepan which has been put on the street (in the nearby forest). In general they are replaced by birds (tits, sparrows, red tail) which nest under the roof !

What a lovely meeting... The earth might tremble there is nothing to wake up ! Curious that it is only to enjoy the warmth of the kitchen...

Thank you for this visit and I'm glad you've been able to introduce this small rodent discrete, but noisy and very bright when aroused.

I would find a dormouse asleep in my bed !!! Beautiful and rare discovery, fortunately it seems to have fallen in good hands ; now it will have to be watching out for the print to wake her up ! Thank you Gilbair for this wonderful find

The bug (this one or another) going to wake up, but then the photograph is a whole other sport and it will take a stroke of luck...

Not so funny for the animal. The club house is a delightful place for these rodents they find there everything from the trash until the biscuits and the pots in the bottom of a closet it is discreet to take a long nap. Thank you for your visit and see you for the wake up if I'm as quick as him to enter it in the photo, not the hand it is dangerous !

I am very happy for your visit and having you by the same occasion to admire a critter that is known by the expression 'sleep like a...' but is quite shy although very mobile in awakening...

> Mady [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Mar 02, 2016
With its small legs pink, and his silky coat, it seems all-wise This is not always the case apparently In any case, it's a cliché unpublished well managed
Thank you for sharing.

Small paws roses, it is that he had to groom yourself before you free anyway he is pretty lazy so he keeps the legs clean, and then on closer inspection it has a hair in the hand' ! But I'm kidding because I don't know how he has the legs when he is awake, he runs too fast, like a squirrel and it climbs the walls it is not believable.

It is always a pleasure to create a new topic on FEI even more for the core, little loir, which did not seem to disturb them with your presence.
Especially as this is the animal we all have already heard about, but which one has not necessarily had the chance to see it in real life.
In any case, this is my case.
So hop in my favorites ! A pity that you haven't given it a title more 'friendly' to your photo.

Thank you for the visit and the comment, exceptionally pleasant. You see that I responded to the criticism of the left corner of the photo.
As regards the title, I always try to make a catchy title for my photos, but I don't have the impression that this grip actually.
The word 'dormouse' rodent, which I had looked in vain for the ' the cause 'electro shock' to the visitors in spite of the sleep of the person concerned !

Thank you for the visit and the comment, I am very sensitive.
It has patounes short girls, a nice hair and beautiful whiskers. But once awake it all turns into a punch, boxes, ceilings, bins and droppings, I say not unto thee.
It should not be too much to be fooled by appearances !

Adorable indeed as she sleeps. Once awakened it's a whole other story. It stirs the night, pierces walls and does not hesitate to gnaw the lids of the bins to find his dinner ! This being yet thank you for the visit and the comment. I will pass on to the interested party of the year if I find one.

Thank you for the visit and the comment.
Cute and endearing, yes, but also see what happens when he wakes up. It is a true devil as explained to other visitors.
Good luck if you have one in your house !

> Francis-Sisco [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Mar 02, 2016
When he will awaken he will appeal to GPS to regain his territory . Bravo, because the animal is nocturnal. I have one on the edge of a cottage situated on the edge of the forest. It lies in a pile of old tiles that I don't mind. Vive la nature The good reactions : do not awaken the child that sleeps and take a photo for sharing.

We are not savages, we do not move very far from 'home', just enough that they do not bouloter by a chat where a fox. But they love the club they consider themselves as tenants in title.

'TOO' cute ? Have you been bitten by a dormouse ? Ouch.
An anecdote : these animals are 'cute' sometimes make their nest in the... Wings of the gliders where there is a plastic 'fluffy' (for their teeth). One day one of these 'cute' remained in the wing after the reassembly of the glider without being noticed. He woke up in flight and jumped on the knees of the driver in volume That has had the most fear I don't know, but the driver was pale to the landing !

for this taking unusual and endearing. IT will not be long to wake up.

Of course they wake up. We do no harm, but they cause us all the same not a lot of trouble with holes in the ceilings when they are not asleep in drawers or closets.

> Almarie [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Mar 01, 2016
A photo unusual, unusual. Yes he sleeps deeply. Thank you and bravo for this cliché little ordinary.

Unusual perhaps, but not so much for us. We often find that sleep around a bit in the spring and fall. It is the fate of the building and it puts them in a place where they can continue to sleep.
But in the summer they are partying, and one is obliged to keep a little more energetic for as much as we can and this is not easy. Not questions is to put in the fingers, they bite !

Extra this camera, a subject and an attitude related to his habit of life out of the ordinary...
One chance in a billion to see that a regular day's work, you're able to take advantage of this opportunity, a thousand bravos !!! I love it all !
I would just erase the small ledge overexposed in the top left...

Thank you for the visit and the comment. The left edge is more clear is the edge of the dish that shines brighter than the rest. I'm going to try and remove this default according to your comment justified and I'm going to return it, if I manage to, the correction which should improve the photo.

Nice photo with a good sharpness that makes the silky look of the coat.
