I'm a fan of still lifes and I love the simplicity and modernity of yours. However, like Julie, I would have liked a touch more light.

Yes, the light... would you believe I was looking for even with lanterns lit. Sometimes it is paradoxical to want to show a light that the light does not light up... I am looking for Cath, I do not understand, but understanding will eventually give in and leave it up to the light that splits the night and shows what it should show you only... Thank you and good day. Marc.

A raging desire to go get a candle and give rise to the low and warm light that I would view at the other end of the table...
Forgiveness of wanting to put light on your dark-light...
In my opinion, in this context, just a touch of clarity at least on the fruit, with its golden-yellow..
But total respect for your choice marc, just a notice

To tell you the truth, Julie, this photograph is magnified through the framing. In sum, I recut the bass. More light on the fruit, yellow-lemon, you're right. He would have had to play more on the lighting of the foreground which is not a small case... The candle in the background, a great idea but it would have been necessary that you are posing and you to me yours... As G of The Tower with his St Joseph (the Carpenter)... to laugh and why not. You made me light up well in this comment that knows how to give life to that which fades slightly and I am most grateful to you, my dear friend is a Pyrenean. I wish you that happiness, of course. Thank you, thank you, Marc.
