Author 'Boucher Marc dit de Meilh' (Id 187172 ) : It presents itself differently from the last time the Chaffinch. He sings turned toward the sun in the west. I had a little trouble to take it in a single click... because of the very high and very bright bird. But the cliché is typically in the nature and this suits me pretty well. I have only just discovered this image through the heading 'Classification'. I agree with web, this is not a chaffinch.
It is a female swallows fly in black or grey, but I do not know to say which of the two, since they resemble each other a lot.
You did a very good shot and well taken, they are small and very fast!!

Yes Gg54 you're right, I don't know why, I'm talking about here, the 'Chaffinch' May be the female, the sun red and the reflections made me confused... ? Congratulations to you and thank you for reminding me ! You're nice ! Amts, Marc.

Hello dear WebMaster. Listen, to the uncertainty I think I can have 5 p/hundred of right to be wrong... but it is the female that is usually more clear. In addition, at the top of the tree and exposed in full sun, which was very well anchored to the west, I think that the fluff clearly incites to see another bird. Yet, it is a female Chaffinch and don't forget that Country to the origin, I know my bird of ' lower court '... Friendship dear friend of the photography and more about your gallery. Good wind, good Weekend to you. Marc.

It was all right to make mistakes, including me.
But the belly of the female chaffinch is totally beige, here's your bird has white on the belly and neck was red.
The confusion seems to me unlikely.

I started a thread on the forum, we'll see if some have other ideas to submit.

Perfectly WebMaster. But you also should consider the settings of the Dslr. Have you thought of the show, its correction and the increment that certainly I would have had to reduce ? Here, the increment of the correction of the exposure is : -0. 7 and this was not enough to see the light to the tops. -1. 7 would have been good. In addition, I would have had to make my focus point on the point more clear, that is to say, the chest of the sparrow to mitigate the
'white '. But then the shadows would have been too high, therefore setting the correction one more time. It is a question of mastery of the setting and I have not had the time or even the idea in the spontaneity of the shot. That, dear friend, to a cause that is well worth a certain deference to you, which seems to put the doubt on this volatile. Amts, Marc de Meilhan Butcher.
