Very good site especially for those who do not know the birds. But so we can identify those who come to visit us in our garden.
> >Reply May 07, 2010
Nice picture ... Pity though that the bird would not be taken from different angles, from the front by example ...

Seeing your photo, I wonder if the 'thrush' fallen from the nest that I have saved and kept is not a merlette. Anyway, your shot is magnificent.

While the plumage is all black the male has given his name to the species (the blackbird), the female, as we see in this photo, is rather brown with throat and chest mottled. Beautiful shot ! It has a good appetite...

It is cold and mrs. merlette does not deprive eat this apple to withstand the colder temperatures to come.
> Goldwing >Reply Jan 10, 2008
She has a good appetite your merlette and does not seem to be disturbed by your presence
> Nguyendomy >Reply Jan 10, 2008
Your merlette is still beautiful , and I see that the appetite does not lack
> Marcel >Reply Jan 10, 2008
All is well framed in spite of the subject in the center. You should have a more careful presentation with a border outline end.(2 or 3 pix).

I did not care for this 'Merlette' (Turdusmerula). Its powerful bec will come to the end of this apple, which, in addition, seems quite to his taste. Beautiful and sharp photo : bravo and thank you.
