It is indeed the Raven (Corvus corax), the largest corvid the world. It sports a beautiful deep black livery that reveals here and there with light bluish. As black as his feathers, his beak is thick arched as illustrated by this photo. His head and neck give it an impression of strength. It is an omnivore, it feeds a lot of dead animals.
