Merle and her Common Blackbird

Author 'Isabelle S.B' A voir (Id 173453 ) : Hello, These printing date from June 2011 and not being a high-quality, I prefer the reduce for you submit the arrival accident has this young Robin. Ms. merle appeared affolee and flying from tree to tree (the scene is happening in the garden). I watched it and wondering what she was doing, when all of a sudden at the bottom of the garden, I view a small ball of feathers which is deplacait in the grass. It was the small that was falling from the nest. Once she had him bench, had constantly to come to feed and go. I could not do anything and Ms. merle was in panic; touch the small would have, I think, been detrimental. However, the next day morning, we found little in another part of the garden and it was finished for him. He did not support the night fresh from the nest. Although a sad story.

A great opportunity to debunk the has this idea received is to believe that chicks keys by the hand of man are abandoned by their parents. This is false! I personally checked on many occasions and in various circumstances. How could band them if that was the case?
While precautions are necessary. The hands of smoker are a block while those affecting the chick with the smell of the place be! It is sufficient to rub them to the natural elements of the place or is the bird (soil, grass, bark, leaves...)
In the case of chicks graves inaccessible nest can attempt, if it has the competence, human feeding. One of my friends does regularly, the ai seeks less than a months for a young magpie of 11
12 (Unfit for flight) days apart from the nest perch on one of our terrace Birch and which would have been easy prey for any night visitor.

A nice montage, but a sad story, but it is alas what happens generally in young birds falling from the nest before learning a steal. Just for information, Robin on the photos is not the female, but the male that it recognizes has its characteristic yellow beak.

What a pity ! in your place I would have picked up the baby in order to put it in a place that his mom gets it.
I've already saved several of the babies fallen from the nest. In fact, the mother wanted to make you understand that she needs your help.

Very beautiful images of life, the outcome is not always happy. At me too this happens and unfortunately it is the nature.
> Mininaur [G] [P] [C] >Reply Apr 08, 2012

super your idea to present this piece of life and damage to the sad end. I don't know what I would have done in your place, that is the harsh law of life !!!
> Fmdv [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Apr 05, 2012
Difficult to save the little sparrows, and you can even try putting them back in their nest, but anyway, the chicks fall out in general when they are ready, or not far from being and the parents end up feeding outside the nest, but there with the cold...
The robins have multiple clutches to compensate for the breakage inevitable. Congratulations for these beautiful photos.
