Very nice tribute sober and touching. You had a reason for the colors, which are very discrete : the photo would have been too gloomy in N1B, I think.

The presence of the bird, well placed, makes all the strength of this picture from a symbolic point of view on the other hand, the soft tints of the setting sun that surrounds the black silhouette of the soldier reinforce this symbol of aspiration to the peace
