It is a mill very beautiful by itself, and its preservation, but still more for having been perched on this kind of pedestal rock. Bravo Catherine.

I think they had an interest in building the windmills as high as possible. In the bordeaux region, we recently met with one that had been artificially over-high. Thank you for your visit.
> Almarie [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 28, 2013
Beautiful shot you present us here. It is very pretty to look at this windmill, perched on top of these rocks. Bravo and thank you.

Thank you for everything. This mill is in fact in a place of La Mancha, Spain and is surrounded by other mills that are similar, in various state of preservation : remains of the past.
> Roberta [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 27, 2013
I was born in 'a mill' but with a wheel and water, and these windmills are much more beautiful bravo for this beautiful photo.

Thank you for your visit, but I love so much the windmills as those to water, and, more recently, during a ride in my area, we have encountered a magnificent, fortified : I'll post his picture on FEI in a few days. We went in guest rooms that are furnished in water mills, and I love the sound of running water !!! What luck you have had ? It was in what region ?

It was in the Haute-Marne and it was the war, but the corner was quiet, too bad I didn't photo.
> Julicarm [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 15, 2013
Nice mill renovated on its promontory scree...
The building has been restored but they were able to keep the character of the site, it is good and it is a very nice enhancement that you offered us...

I am very happy to read you Lena : I hope you are well and a big thank you for taking on your time to leave a comment on this windmill in the landscape so characteristic.

As a fortress, it is a throne on the rocks, which seem to fall little by little. Hope that this beautiful mill is not going to one day come tumbling down with it. Nice meeting, Catherine !

I think that these mills are maintained as they are typical in the landscape of La Mancha, and they are reminiscent of the famous writer Cervantes.

Thank you for your visit and your layout favorites. During our walks we still encounter a lot of windmills or water, but it is true that compared to a time many have disappeared.
> Patjoe [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jun 09, 2013
Perched high like this it is well to take the wind, the mill. Very nice shot. As the roof, I love these windmills, which have disappeared unfortunately a lot of landscapes. Thank you.

A mill in good condition it seems, perched on a pile of pebbles in an environment that seems to be desert, it is a shot very pleasant Thank you for the sharing It seems to me very slightly lean to the left perhaps It is the wind

Thank you Misty, and imagine that there were about a dozen in more or less good condition, but it is the brand image of La Mancha in my opinion.

Here, we have left the north of Spain . This mill, which has the air well-preserved and were waiting for you to compose this beautiful photo in soft colours. Don Quixote and Sancho Panza were perhaps hidden behind the mill .

Bel environnement pour ce moulin. (Almarie)
Du haut de son promontoire, il prend bien le vent (Gede 14)
Merci Almarie d'avoir fait une place parmi les autres à ce fier moulin espagnol dans son paysage très dépouillé!!. (Perronnet Catherine)
