Monarch butterfly Plain Tiger

Author 'Pavotbleu' A voir (Id 134741 ) : Back from the wilderness, first I thought the oasis, a Garden of Eden as a campsite with shower (after 15 days it is "tan" to the top of the thighs!), Tent and tea, and Lantanas of bright colors around which frolicked wonderful butterflies unknown. I tried to identify them here: Monarch, this is it! With its white spots on the head and chest! Hmmmm ... Not all at it. So his brother, his African cousin, Danaus Chrisippus. Finally, I think so!

Success is guaranteed with the butterflies! A big thank you to all, it's nice: 6: Here I had a bit of luck, given the delay in onset compared to the SLR (my batteries were dead: 10:) but at maximum zoom, stabilization is valuable, and sometimes it works better ...

This butterfly has class and you have great photos. It has much more flavor: 18: for he chose a beautiful flower to land. The blurred background contributes to the development. An excellent and clear color photograph: 1:

> Le fan belfortain [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Dec 13, 2010
: 1: The clarity, colors and designs of the butterfly, monarch Small is beautiful and posture on the flowers of lantana is pretty successful. Pavotbleu Bravo and thank you. : 3: Compared to the butterfly 'Monarch', it seems that it has more black and white patterns on the wings.

Yes, it's true: as the Monarch "American" (Danaus plexippus), which is larger and, in addition, large black veins, whereas here they are clear. Thank you for your interest: 18: and your erudition! : 5:

Whatever its name, it is this magnificent butterfly. I like the colors that look good on the red flowers and the background blur in the same shades as his wings. Bravo and thank you for the picture of us to enjoy.

> Patjoe [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Dec 13, 2010
Your picture is very clear, it is wonderful that cousin of the monarch, it is equally royal, it appears well on this background and posed as its flower. The format suits him well too. Bravo for this very nice photo. Thank you.

+: macro for a pretty famous for its butterfly migration at least in America so his cousin as I understand. Chouette bokeh anyway.

-:Unless I am mistaken, the great monarch or monarch also liu white spots on the body. What makes this small butterfly monarch, it is not his job but that thou hast photographed in Africa (and not America). If ever I'm wrong, please correct me.

I went down ... so I responded to our first fan. There is another difference: the belly is red like the wings (we do not see it here) then it is black in the great monarch. The head and thorax are similar (at first). From what I've read, this butterfly lives in many parts of Europe to Asia, but not on the American continent ... (It took me a look!: 19:) Very touched, web, that you have taken time for me is as rare as precious. Thank you: 5:!
