Author 'Charly' (Id 188558 ) : On the 21st of December approaches and the winter points its nose.
This morning he sent me this card sprinkled with frost and shrouded in fog to announce his arrival in the countryside born in the comminges. I don't like a lot the cold and the winter, but this is the landscape that I liked and I hope to meet again , but not too often.
(photo natural with no fakery 'photoshopesque' this time around ).

The cold is palpable, the landscape emerging from the mist is enchanting ; I love the presence of the fence wobbly, which leaves a break in sight. A ruin on the rock ?

At the top of the cliff it was a ruin : a castle that dominated the village in the 12th century.

The sensation of cold is accented with this color uniform. There may be interest to put a little more contrast

More contrast (what I've done slightly on the original photo) would have decreased the fog, which, to me, it seems, brings a plus to the cold ambiance.

Congratulations a beautiful shot which makes very much the impression of cold, just to 'say' I would have perhaps done more panoramic removing a bit of the bottom.

Cut a little bit off the bottom would, perhaps, have unbalanced the different planes of the photo : foreground pre-frosted, the second plan small wood, and fence, the background hill and the ruins in the mist.

I'm a little obligated to play the mouse to have beautiful landscape in the winter as here. It happens very rarely for me.
But then I took advantage of this (single) morning for a photo natural and rare of the 'little wood behind my house'.
Maybe I would have the opportunity to make snowy landscapes during my holidays in Chartreuse for the holidays.
