Author 'Crabecanoe' (Id 171037 ) : Lille Sunday 26 February 2012. We are here before the remains of the mill St. Pierre. A date is entered in the pediment of the porch (1649). This mill was supplies water through the channel of the circus. Then the water is deversait to the lower shore. We are here on the circuit of the Deule through the city of Lille as formerly. The passage of the stream is materialise by a gateway wood left the wall. At the beginning of the years 1900 Moulin Saint Pierre was a high building with four floors.

It is really a remnant... There isn't much left of the mill and thank you for this shot.

Thank you Daniel to have appreciated and noticed this picture. Actually it not much remains of the mill of origin. I think that the collapse of the building is due to the war of 14-18. In 1914, the city of Lille has been heavily bombarded by the Prussians. See you soon for other photos. Friendships. Marcel.

The sticker calls it out, interesting, and you took a risk with the choice of the frame colour, it suits me

Thank you Lumixane to be appreciated and noticed this picture. The wall is painted the same color as many of the facades in the same street. It seems that it were the colours used in the Middle Ages. All the cs that changes of the gray walls. See you soon for other photos. Friendships. Marcel.
