Mounting Peregrine Falcons

Author 'Fifie34' (Id 213339 ) : The peregrine falcon is a species of bird of prey of medium size like a big pigeon ! It is reputed to be the world's fastest dive, ornithophage, it is not that hunting of birds in flight, it's just as well since it has an excellent view. It is able to detect a pigeon in flight over 6km. Here the meal served by his breeder is a chick ! Its life span is 13 years in the wild and 25 years in captivity.
Photos taken at the castle of Lordat.

Your editing accentuates these peregrine falcons. The photos are very successful, beautiful brightness

I am going into the forest to take pictures of birds. Here, I see that the freedom is completely forgotten. I'm pretty sad to see this kind of show. Sorry.

In the absolute you're absolutely right, birds like all animals are better in freedom than in captivity ! However, those that I had seen there, had not the unhappy sigh, released from their chains, they always returned to their master. In addition we must not forget the pedagogical aspect of these shows, the condemn it stigmatizes all the zoos and animal parks. Personally I watch most often of tits on my balcony that peregrine falcons

I understand that these birds do not open easily in the nature. Near me there is a couple that lives on a church in Boitsfort, and another in Brussels at the cathedral of St-Michel. Until now I have not yet had the opportunity to see them ; in general they are very high.
