Author 'D.marsim' (Id 154424 ) : In Buddhism the lotus flower is symbolic of Buddha. Throughout the Indian world there are numerous paintings, sculptures and performances of the lotus flower. This is due to the unique lotus which is the only aquatic plant or flower is on top of the water lilies which unlike the flower floating on the water. The image of the lightness of the flower rising above the water surface is similar to that of Buddha is so light it like a cat above the ground.
