Author 'Hiedra98' (Id 121226 ) : A Nepenthes madagascariensis Manakara to the south-east of Madagascar. This is the first pitcher plant which was described in 1658 by Etienne Flacourt governor of a short-lived settlement in Madagascar. It has a large family of more than 70 species, excluding hybrids, all located in South-East Asia. One can imagine that she was introduced to Madagascar, like other plant species, by migration Indo-Malaysian successive long ago.
