New entrants to the etang de Waterloo

Author 'Ninik' (Id 250244 ) : I have not been able to identify these ducks that I saw for the first time on the pond of Waterloo. I thought for a moment that it were female mallard but there was no male mallard in the vicinity ; they were all ducks light brown.

A beautiful family. I also think of the female mallard, but the three that are 'standing' have the body of a female and the wings of a male, .

very nice photo, sunny and clear. I would like you to the species, but I am far from being a specialist in this field...

I too had thought about the female mallard, but... and there was not their name ? Thank You Ninik.

You want to laugh ? It is a pond where water birds are coming and going. I've already seen of the mandarins, of the white geese, the geese in the neck, barred, white swans, black swans, common shelduck, of the egyptian goose from Egypt, cormorants, a heron, etc, most of The time there are mallards, but this time there were twenty of these birds beige. If these are ducks mallard, it is surprising that there was not a single male ???
