Author 'Briant' (Id 151705 ) : Important sanctuary a World Heritage of Unesco, located 140 km north of Tokyo (a halfway Fukushima) erected in honor of Tokugawa. This dynasty ruled Japan during the Edo period (about 250 years). The most famous of all the temples is the Tosho-Gu dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu: founder of the dynasyie. The style of all temples of Nikko is very busy with lots of carvings and gilding. At the entrance to the sanctuary of the ultimate Tosho-gu is the Yomeimon is supported by 12 columns white wood. Each side of the door a large statue and two spectacular Tokugawa Shogun.
