Notre Dame Salette Inset

Author 'Spiros' (Id 182370 ) : The church of Our Lady of la Salette is completely hidden behind the buildings of several floors. For access there is a portal between two old buildings, one of which, as we see in the picture, has no facade on this side. The door, always open when I pass, is very beautiful with these cut-out silhouettes on the metal.
The central door of the church, still closed, is beautifully carved with religious figures stylized. But we can enter through the door you see to the left. Inside is a light multi-colour very soft through the stained glass windows close to the truncated cone that forms the roof. I used photos of these windows to form the bottom of the assembly.
The church commemorates the apparition of the virgin Mary to two children in 1846 in the village of La Salette Fallavaux (Isère).

Still a good initiative on your part that this assembly is a church that few people should notice the same for the background in stained-glass windows that suddenly become very large. The church is leaning towards the right.
I would have put the figurines carved in low : for them, it will be easier and less far to go in the church and the black background will blend with the black of the open door of the other photo.
The door opened, I put it at the top for the symbolism of the cross = heaven.
At the same time, I don't really know what it's going to give as the two cross will be then both to the top of the mount and I like the same color of the door and the wall that are not distant from one another.

Your remarks are contradictory, I've tried with the two crosses at the top and it is not pretty. The photo to the left has no margin at the bottom is the entrance. The picture of the church is a little over the top, there are steps.
The church does not look to the right it is the perspective. The railing that goes up to the closed door is perpendicular to the frame. The program shiftN straightens the left door and the church leans more to the right.

Yes, I have some contradictory, and it is for this reason that I write 'At the same time... 3. The interaction of the elements of a Whole, whatever it is, sometimes in order to change an element, what are all the others, that it is necessary to change also...
I'll post a retouch.

Okay you won, I sent a touch-up with the cross to the vertical.

Original your editing and good idea to leave this place of darkness and anonymity. I like the idea of using stained glass for the church as a framework.

Anonymity you found the word, I pass in front of the portal for years, and I hadn't noticed the church. It was the only way to present the stained glass windows, they are very narrow.

It is a beautiful building, pity it is so badly placed because it deserves to be highlighted you're right when you say that the carved doors are beautiful, it is indeed the case a great work of cabinet-making very beautiful presentation and thank you for the visit and for the comment that accompanies it

Thank you, Spiros, for this interesting edit, I like our Lady of la Salette and I dreamed for me to go to the Alps (Isère) for the visit to Paris, it's more easy ; at the first opportunity I will come to visit.

Thou shalt be filled, plus there is a sanctuary built around 1860 and it often hosts live music. I thank you for your passage.
