Oblivion ... Graveyard

Author 'Gélinotte' (Id 221645 ) : In the old cemetery of the village where I was born, I had the feeling that all these dead were the dead a second time... the cemetery is home to more deceased for nearly half a century. The fall dilapidated burrow desperately in this rocky desert burrowing more deeply their mysteries, the cross twist, the Christs damaged and disfigured screaming pain universal...

In the garden of forgetfulness

At the edge of a morning, in an indifference,
When moved to the cold for an eternity,
A rose lies dying in the sound of silence
The garden of oblivion, in its long-term sustainability.

But who can, nowadays, cry this pink
The petals lost on the grey tombs ?
This is the past, but today, no one dares to
The garden of death relight the torches.

Yet it would take only a small flame,
That of a vagabond at the end of his destiny
That, here come, would his soul
For that to be reborn, then, the rose in this garden.

Your shot is perfect for this poem...
These gardens are forgotten, unfortunately, are more numerous... the generations follow one another and gradually lose the memories of elders (if memories there)... and passes the time, and so goes the life...
Shot beautifully managed by this technique for N&B/color.

A lot of emotion and a very special atmosphere which I am very sensitive in this film.
as for the technical work of the black and white and the cross is painted.
A superb shot... Really. and thank you for sharing Grouse.

What can we add to all that has been said and that sums up my thoughts ? In any case, this picture is a success on all fronts, sad but beautiful, because thou hast restored life and colour to some of the essential elements, bravo Monique

Thank you Geneviève for your passage in this old cemetery in 'distress' ; thank you for your nice comment.

You do in the poetry Labrume in time even to situations that are more subdued as this cemetery was completely abandoned, as it is sad oblivion.
A beautiful setting in scene by the judicious choice of black and white and the color of this poor Christ, which seems to be the only one to watch over these poor, dead, fallen into oblivion. thank you Labrume for this beautiful shot in this period of all saints.

Hi Nicole, I thank you very much for your comment and for your bet in favorites. As you say, in this cemetery, which is waiting patiently to be used for a whole other destiny, the Christs rusty are of the 'resistance' to ensure forever on their dead.
Just a tiny detail, I'm not (my girlfriend) Labrume but Monique 'Grouse' Bisous

A snapshot of the same vein as those of Isabelle S. B on the same theme, emotionally and technically highly successful, by the composition and the association fort wise, black-and-white and color

Oup's Mady naughty note everything well, obviously I remembered the pretty pictures of Isabelle (which we lack on EIF ) and I tried to do the same work it, I'm in recovery several times, because it should not have the suffer for the colouring !!!
In any case, I thank you for your comment very relevant, and you see me delighted to have managed to transpose a little 'emotion' in this image. Thanks again Mady

The subject dealt with in black and white, and the cross color is excellent. (EXCEP) I'd like also to clarify, this is not because they are not in a cemetery, they are so far forgotten. it's a Pity, however, that the family does most of the tombs.

Hello Daniele, thank you for your passage ; I'm quite agree with you : our dead have no need for it to rest in a cemetery so that we do not forget them. In this case, it is a cemetery that is no longer maintained, because the municipality wants to recover as the place to be 'something else' :a 14: a cemetery very modern has been open for a good thirty years outside of the village, in beautiful countryside. I went into this old cemetery to find the grave of my great grandparents, she was thrilled

The place is 'dreary' I wanted to give him an even more sinister by putting it in N&B, and, by highlighting the cross rusty who seems to cling to the 'sky'. Thank you Françoise for your comment and for your bet in favorites.

Thanks Fifie for your 'membership' I just wanted to put an image in harmony with the calendar ! In fact, I find it very sad to see these cemeteries in disrepair, one has the feeling that there is more 'nothing' as an end of the world...
Thank you to have taken in your favorites.
