It is assumed that this monumental work to the memory of the young brave symbolizes the flight of their spirits to an afterlife of serenity after their terrors and their suffering. Thanks to their sacrifice we live in peace.

It is difficult to imagine that so many horrors have been experienced by these brave and unfortunate soldiers when we walk or can take advantage of these beaches today, but the history is there, it should not be forgotten !
Thank you for your passage and implementation favorites.

A good decision that allows you to discover this high place which has marked the history . Bravo, I have seen a person at the foot of the sculpture to provide a scale of magnitude.

I made the entire circuit of the landing beaches a few years ago, I did not know this sculpture. Thank you Gede for this photo

This sculpture was installed on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the landing, so for the June 6, 2004 and is subject to a special authorisation on the part of the prefecture as it is located on the public domain. Thank you for your passage.

This contemporary work has, on this beach, a place justified because it pays tribute to missing soldiers. It is very stylish and does not shock in his environment. I like a lot and greet the artist who performed, as well as the photographer that we this beautifully

The tide goes down, leaving the work to keep your feet dry I love the comparison of Charly. You have made a beautiful photo. 69 years later, the people bathe peacefully. Omaha beach, the bloody.

Here are some reefs of a new kind.
It gives what at high tide ?
Amazing what can be found on a beach.
In any case, it does not prevent people to bathe

Thank you for your passage ; people bathed, and yet the picture is taken the 1st of October ; in Normandy this is not commonplace.

You make me discover these sculptures and I like it a lot. This is a beautiful tribute to all these soldiers and it is much more beautiful than all of these blockhouses that can still be seen on our beaches.

Ben... What a horror that thing is ! What is the idea of doing it on a beach ? It disfigures everything, finally... the photo is very well, this said ! Bravo Gede !

This sculpture makes one think of a blade of cimeters where the handle would be under the sand, a bit like the trench of the bayonets.
Thank you for making us discover this work in a beautiful environment.
