Orchidee Hyperfocus Phal

Author 'Jacques.marcandelli' (Id 187156 ) : Today an 'animal' photo of the orchid, but who has for only purpose to test the photo-hyperfocus (we take 10 /20 photos of the same subject by changing the focus, and software [Combine ZM] assemble it all by taking the best focused areas from each photograph, to reconstruct a clear photo of 0 to infinity, or 30 cm if it suits you... You can keep the blur if you want).
In short it is useful in macrophoto or photo 'close-up' of a subject 'deep'.
In the present case, the vegetation at the back of the orchid would have been able to stay blurred to highlight the flower but I had decided to 'break' the rules allowed (by who and why ??? The standard of the greatest number ??). In short the photo must sometimes get out of the straightjacket of the 1/3 sky 2/3 ground, the subject is off-center, net front, and the blur behind it... The photo should be creative !!! So out of the norm from time to time, qed.

Your technique hyper-focus is dealt with brilliantly. I've always said that I will one day. I think try it on a flower before the insects. I love the macro.
Thank you for this wonderful photo Jacques !
I see that you are together with 'combine ZM'... personally, I have been advised : Helicon Focus and Zerene Stacker.
Do you know ?

Hello,
I don't know those 2 software, it must be said that I did a Google search and the 1st software that I found was combine ZM, which fulfilled the function. But this type of macro photo involving mini 2 to 3 photos banned almost all of the living subjects 'mobile' so it was an experience for me as the hdr...

Still an interesting technique that I didn't know.
In all cases the result is striking, Your orchid is clear-even for flowers of the most remote.

It is a technique fairly easy to implement. The software is free and can be downloaded very easily (a little google search and you can easily find the software and tutorials). .The most difficult is to take 10 to 20 pictures without moving so a tripod or a solid support is necessary because we must slightly move the focusing ring (autofocus disconnected !!) between each view. For my case it is a bridge DMC FZ8 so I need to manipulate the joystick manual focus (a small pulse between each photo). Because the goal is not to do updates specific to particular points in the photo, but rather to take x pictures at intervals (more or less) regular between the minimum distance and infinity. After in the multiple photos there will always be areas of net for each photographed object regardless of its distance.

Thank you for your explanation, it seems to me that this method is also used by 'Denlig'. If you do not know, goes to see his gallery, he makes macros are absolutely stunning.
He calls this method 'focus stacking'...

Hello,
Yes you're right : the focus stacking it is the same thing that the technical hyperfocus. I have seen the photos of Denlig and it is true that they are superb especially Denlig takes photos of live animals as I've simplified the method with brave orchid that does not move !!! Not even a small breath of wind as I have done this in my living room. But when you see some 'pros' take carts motorized with stepper motors (they do not change the focus of the objective, but do translate the object to be photographed from a few 1/10th of a millimeter in each photo). Where the results of ground-breaking that we are far from close. But the goal is to have fun with the means of the board !!!
