It is a cathedral as extraordinary on the inside as on the outside and a unique place in the world, I recommend that as you visit it. Have a good weekend and good week.

Thank you for your com, I'm on holiday in India, I hope to make beautiful pictures but I still do not know how it is to send a picture on EIF, can you tell me? Thank you in advance. See you soon and a large cuckoo Diu, where I spend two days before visiting Mount Girnar (Gujarat) where you must climb 1,000 steps before entering the beautiful Jain temples.

For up to Our Lady of the Guard, several solutions available to you: 1 - make the trip on foot from the old port by following the signs, it's tiring but possible. 2 - Take the little train that awaits you on the Old Port, which takes you to the foot of the basilica with guaranteed return and commentary on the route. It's more fun. 3 - you are driving, you can climb up to the basilica no problem with parking when you park. You do not descend to the Old Port by the same road (it's more fun because it goes down), so you're not dependent on the train timetables to return. Once up to admire the beautiful view of Marseille. I know the location of this statue beautifully photographed and there, the view on Marseille, the islands of Friuli, the Chateau d'If ... It is superb, the top! : 1:: 6:: 18: Do not forget your camera!

Thank you very much for your great comment, I climb up to the Good Mother in August of 2009, but I was fortunate to live in Marseille until 1968, I love this city and I want to m ' resettle in the next few years. I made my retreat when I was little, for my first communion and I have fond memories dazzled dozens of lit candles, meditation and beauty, yet the chapel had not seemed so beautiful today. See you and good day.

Thank you for your nice com is really nice, no, if you go up quietly, stop you it is feasible, but information now: I believe there is a train that goes up or you can even mount drive, and then the Chapel is amazing, do not miss it, it's beautiful from every point of view!

Oh man, what pain and what you drop! It's sad to see so many. Your photo is beautiful clarity. The sculptor has managed to carve a stone for us to understand. The background is very good also. I already went to Marseille but I've not yet had the opportunity to go to Notre Dame de la Garde. As soon as I can go. But tell me, should get a lot of stairs? I have a heart murmur and I would not stay on the road. Happy New Year to you and all yours.

A beautiful statue that you really cliché. Doing the live rock, this is not given to everyone. The sculptor has succeeded and you were able to show us the suffering and the sweetness of the characters in this work. : 3:

Apart from two small solar bursts on the lower right, very nice shot: the statuary group is well developed, well balanced with other plans and the angle of view of bias is more clever that allows the perspective of a beautiful background marine ... The quiet and sunny gives a little heat on while illuminating.

Thank you very much for your com. It's nice because I'm not an expert, but I try to "feel" the subject and then take the best angle, which is not always easy for lots of reasons!
> Chasseur de temps [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jan 07, 2010
Succeed in making the stone speak, is this not an achievement. Even if there's merit shared between the photographer and sculptor path each could only hold our attention. The presentation of photographs taken from different angles allow us to better measure the performance of one or the other and the quality of the place where all is presented.

Thank you for your long comment, I took many pictures that day, and especially photos of the Chapel, the statue was not easy, I tend to make big plans, I do not know why a sort of curiosity impels me may find me more about the subject to feel and understand more ... I wish you a good day will come soon and see your photos.

This statue expresses beautifully suffering. Regarding the rise in Notre Dame, it is true that cotton is especially when he makes a wind dehorn cuckolds. : 18:

Thank you for your com, it may actually be more sculptural than the side I wanted to highlight not the religious side, this statue is a monumental and superbly placed before the Bay of Chateau d'If.
