We have always called this fruit the persimmon. It is a delicious fruit that looks like to jam when it is eaten very ripe and not sour at all on this condition alone. It is harvested when it is still firm and kept up to maturity in the straw and laid on the stalk, the fruit should be very soft and it is eaten with a spoon, some put a drop of rum, it is delicious. It deserves to be known, the khaki wild and rather decorative, is not as tasty as the persimmon and has no slices on the inside, it is just sweet.

Currently, the tree is small (50 cm) and its trunk is very thin. When should I plant it?

The fruits are beautiful but they seem too close to the target. The fruits of orange light in the picture is pretty.

Well Camelia, when the fruit becomes softens under the pressure of the hand, it can be eaten like an apple after having been peeled with a potato peeler. The flesh is still firm. If we do not let it to come to maturity, its flavor is slightly bitter and it gives a feeling of bitterness in the mouth (which disappears entirely). If you want to enjoy, we must respect this criterion for the taste. It is the peculiarity of Khaki Persimon which can be much larger (at least 10cm in diameter.) And should not be confused with the 'common persimmon, which is eaten when his skin broke out, which is extremely juicy. My preference is to Persimon since I've tasted. It is also much more expensive, but it is really delicious and very healthy (Vit. C). It seems to me that the Persimon you show us here?

: 1: These 'Khakis' are beautifully presented in a sky of the season. Pleasant screen: Bravo and thank you. : 3: I like the word 'Plaquemine': 18:
> Le Fada de Marseille [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Dec 02, 2008
Persimmon, also known as Plaquemine, is eaten more than ripe or overripe. It is part of the most energetic fruit, like cherry or grape. Its flesh is sweet, juicy and sweet. The Japanese eat plenty during the New Year in the form of fried fritters light, they serve as an accompaniment to shrimp. Southern region remains the favorite of the fruit skin smooth and fine and bright orange flesh that shows us this wonderful picture clear and controlled. : 1:
