This is the Mélitée plantain (Melitaea cinxia, or in English : Glanville Fritillary). The top of the wings of the butterfly evokes a checkered orange-brown and black. The underside of the hind wings, on this photo, is very characteristic also with two orange bands outlined in black) shown clearly on the cream background. This is one of the Mélitées the most common. Beautiful shot

It's been some time that I browse on different websites of identification to give a name to this butterfly, whose head and especially the eyes are excellent sharpness. The yellow orange and brown with spots of darker stand out on the background greenish. All of the details would make me think of the moth 'Mélitée plantain' (Melitaea cinxia)
. His posture is original and the presentation is neat : congratulations Rene, and thank you.

A butterfly in monocle. The dandy flowers. The shades of copper provide a nice contrast on the green background. Beautiful attitude of this moth.

This beautiful butterfly is taken to a star, it made the poses. A shame it lacks the depth of field, which affects the sharpness, an antenna, and a wing remains unclear, unless the star has moved. But his head is beautiful !

The angle of view of this butterfly is well worth its eye and antenna right. The photo is beautiful.

What a joy to be able to print a butterfly in a position as advantageous
and to obtain a good and beautiful result.

It is beautiful this little butterfly. His eye is a little disproportionate to her head. This is a great shot.

Mid-blur, mid-net. The net is on the head of this wonderful butterfly. Can we talk about a soft focus? I think yes ! Beautiful photo !
