Picepeiche Great spotted woodpeeker

Author 'Perle' (Id 189736 ) : It was with surprise that I saw this Pic Epeiche in the process of pecking in one of the feeders installed in my garden. Fast!!! Digital camera in hand, I strafed Unfortunately it was very grey, so little light and I had to lighten my shot in post processing. The sky is so white.

Your picture is very beautiful, and for that which is of heaven... it is winter and often the weather is grey, which does not prevent that you have done a beautiful photo

Despite the lack of color of the sky, the great spotted woodpecker is gorgeous ! The colours of its plumage are well defined and sharp ! The peaks épeiches are very beautiful birds, but the sound of their beak on a wood wall, early in the morning, is very hammering to pull someone out of sleep, I know something of it, because for me, he liked to peck at the wall of a shed adjacent to the house, it is as if he pecks my bed... But I love these birds ! The days where we see more is the announcement of a mild weather or rain next... Finally this is what I have observed for several years... Thank you pearl for this beautiful image !

Too bad for the white sky, the bird alone was well worth a shot. Bravo.

I understand you, it is always a real pleasure when you discover a new bird. I have made the acquaintance yesterday of a large-beak-puzzle-nuclei.
Bravo for the patience it takes sometimes.

A branch to keep it in memory, it has dug a reserve for the winter, and again...
Magnificent catch, they are not easy to print...

Easy, because this tree is just outside my window in the kitchen. I can leisurely watch at this branch when I'm in front of my sink

At the sight of the hole in the trunk, it's a safe bet that he will return there. You want ready !
Beautiful bird that I've never had the chance to see in me. To avoid overexposing the sky, he would have had to act by zones with layers and masks. Topics are on the forum to explain these tools with several software.

I didn't pay any attention to this hole in the trunk but you're surely right, for I had already noticed some time ago without having been able to photograph it. This time, he stayed longer to my great joy.

So what if the blue sky is not there, the great spotted woodpecker is still there, and even if it does lack a little bit of light you can see its beautiful colors. And then, the most important is that you have taken the pleasure to see and photograph it.
