Picnic in the sun Barn

Author 'Jofu' (Id 232747 ) : On this day we did a hike and the weather was spring-like. We have picnic screwed in front of these sheepfolds, above Barèges (Hautes Pyrénées).

Nice mountain landscape with these sheepfolds and I love the old stones. I wonder what material is made the roof ?
Seen the black and white, which gives a certain atmosphere to this lovely shot.
and thank you for sharing Joel.

The roof is made with a modern material, sheet metal type, zinc. Thank you for your time Lena.

I don't know what kind of buildings, but it is special, the stones arranged in a staircase on the sides ! I must say that I never went in this area !
Now I know how are the sheep-folds of the mountain !
I like your photo but a pity that there was not more snow.

I think that this device could easily reach the roof to clear snow. For skiers, there was plenty of snow. Thank you for your passage.

The black and white on these sheepfolds highlights the different stones. It must even be of slate or flat stones

Yes, the 'no birds' are made of flat stones and slates, but the roofs are sheet metal. Thank you for your passage.

I discovered these buildings at a beautiful hike 'between streams and waterfalls' to Lesponne near Bagneres de Bigorre. I also took a few photos in black and white.
The name 'no bird' brings even more poetry to this exceptional landscape offered by the mountains.

The N&B is well out of the pretty buildings but one does not distinguish the elements of the picnic.

The picnic was completed, the waste was stowed in the backpack and we were ready to go again . Thank You Ninik.

A black-and-white that suits well for the subject at hand and brings in the light, a beautiful relief on the walls of the sheepfolds, bravo. (TB)

A beautiful mountain scenery ! The choice of black and white is a good idea and highlights the material of the sheepfolds.

The color version was a bit bland ; it is pure this reason that I chose the B&B. Thank you Gilbert.

I love these houses, or barns with gables with sawtooth (or not birds) as found in the Pyrenees The passage in black and white is well seen and the processing (maybe ?) strengthens the terrain The snow at the bottom is maybe a bit overexposed, but this is not easy

I do my N&B with Sylver Efex Nick's collection (see link below). Yes, the snow is a little burnt. Thank You Mady.

I like this scene with your belongings which bring life to the old sheep pens. The picture is super clear and the N&B suits him well, I think.

The colour version was a bit bland in my opinion. The N&B brings a little relief. Thank You Cathy.
