Author 'Raymondsoso' : It is difficult to make them truly account of the immensity of these statues but I can tell you that they are impressive... An extraordinary work of the hand of the egyptians !

Very nice photo taken from bottom to top, which accentuates the effect of magnitude. Very beautiful photo with a blue sky. Question: These statues are made of cement? or carved in stone?

I confirm, it is Ramses II and Nefertari(the wife between the legs of the colossus) and not Akhenaton. Anyone familiar with the history of Egypt knows very well that Akhenaten worshiped one god, Aton, and have denied the God Amon. However, the temple of Karnak is dedicated to Amon. Before you make a comment it is better to learn. Otherwise I love your photo, the angle in which you have taken.

Then, it is to be Akhenaten, whose successors have ruined the face so that it kind of memories forever ! Yet, it was the first monotheist in history... A visionary...
