We do not say ever that it is close to the city. For city dwellers, it is, therefore, not go far to know the quiet, even under a threatening sky.

This is the case, this town is in parallel with the port. Even if the cartier fishermen and the upper town which is called the old city is a little over the top, even from the top you have the view on the Bay of the Somme. But there are fortifications with a lot of things to visit, what good is an education on what this port and St Valerie in ancient times, because there was a lot of activity related to the fishery and not that this. In winter, it is true that it is more quiet. Thank you so much Monique for choosing this cliche as well as your opinion.

Hello, It is beautiful this one also and I like always as much the sky. Here also it was in the middle of a city of boats and I do not think to go there. The colors of the boats and the trees stripped to give a beautiful set.

The Bay of the Somme and just like the sites in the borders of the sea have their charms. When it is sunny days and the sky is blue, it definitely gives a vision more appealing to the eye. I think and this is only my opinion, that either this port or 3/4 of the Country, they have other visions in the winter season that give less interest perhaps, but the pretty spots deserve to be seen in all seasons even if it is more quiet. Sometimes, it is necessary to provide the umbrella or even think about it is true. Before it was more like Deauville, Honfleur, but the story has its place also in the photograph, the image has its center of interest. Thank you again Candy for having chosen this shot as Manu too and I appreciate your compliments, it is nice.

Hello Cathy. For the sky was rather gray but I prefer that white is bad. St-Valery is composed of 3 entities : The upper town, the lower town where the harbour is located, and the neighborhood of the abbey as an extension of the old town, which has kept part of its medieval aspect, with narrow streets, 2 fortified gates, ramparts and the church of Saint-Martin. The seamen's quarter is famous for its narrow houses down to the harbor. Therefore, it is a city all in length of 2700 inhabitants, where most of the shops are close to this marina. Well, thank you for having chosen this shot as Josy and it is well to look to this place. Good end of the day.
