It is true that this building is austere, but a witness of a distant past, where the architecture was important. A very nice photo reportage well-documented.

Thank you Joelle to be appreciated and noticed this picture. This door has almost disappeared and it has been preserved and restored by the town of Maubeuge. She has a side that is a little austere, but it is time. Friendships. Marcel. Happy new year 2012.

Very beautiful shot of this monument, certainly austere, but which is no less historical, and thanks for the comment very informative.

Thank you LNA to have noted and appreciated this photo. The door seems a little austere, but it is one of the last in possession of all its outside and which serves as the seat of the tourist office, the Maison Folie and associations. See you soon for other photos. Friendships. Marcel.

It is an impressive building and looks very austere with the stones of the granite (?) grey.
Good framing with these effects of receding lines are opposite.

Thank you Charly have noted this photo. It is a building of stones and bricks. The buildings of the time were built with a specification very tight. The building still has 350 years of existence and this is one of the few of that era to still be standing. It is for the City of MAUBEUGE in a historic building in its history. See you soon for other photos. Friendships. Marcel.

Thank you for having appreciated and noticed this picture. The building is very bare but it is classified and corresponds to a specification very severe. This is the type of architecture that prevailed in the Seventeenth century. A good number of bourgeois houses have taken example on this model. For the city of MAUBEUGE it is a strong symbol of his heritage. See you soon for other photos. Cordially. Marcel.

Interesting Photo of a monument which, to me, is very austere.
