Red Fox

Author 'Momjade' (Id 187283 ) : This red fox was one of the nicest surprises of the trip in the south of Argentina. They were two but this one was more brave and approached the motocar. Everyone to the windows to take its portrait !

It may not be a red fox, this species is absent from the south American continent.
I admit, however, that I am unable to say what animal it is question about this picture... is that the shooting is rather successful !

However, it is indeed a red fox (zorro colorado) typical of the south of Argentina, where I lived for 25 years. The fact, in the time I had a fur coat of this animal. It is not the same as the one we know in Canada.
Thank you LifeVII to enjoy the photo and happy new Year !

You wrote the right word Domi, to describe the moment : a pose zen. It was just that ! Thank you, thank you.

I agree that the decor is not at the rendezvous, but it offers a testimony of the great cold which reigned there : the large piece of ice just in front of the fox and the pieces of snow behind him. It was in need of his thick fur. Thank you Manu for your nice comment.

The remarks of the Isa are correct and your explanations are also...
It is not always as we want, but the memory of this beautiful encounter is there and it has no price, bravo

I appreciate your understanding Julicarm. In fact, to see a wild animal so close without being in a zoo, was wonderful. And the excursions are everywhere the same : quickly, let us hurry !

Even if it was in the national park area, the fur would indicate that they do not eat only hares patagoniques. The tourists would have helped surely.

This fox is in a pose that is ideal for the photographer and you're able to take part in . It is a fox autumn ; it has the colours I think you could crop tighter, so that our gaze focuses on the topic ; here, the environment less aesthetic is present too. I would have made a adding a net on the beast

Thank you Isabelle for your constructive criticism. Would I have been able to crop more without losing definition while respecting the decentralization of the subject according to FEI, I would have liked. Unfortunately, neither the net desirable was due to the windows-stained dust of the coach. The best solution would have been to get off the bus, but alas, the driver had set all the world on board and was en route when the fox appeared. A next time...

I believe that everyone in the bus was surprised that the fox approach. For me at least, it was the first time that I saw one.

It really doesn't look wild fox, this is amazing, it looks like he only asks to be petted.

It was at the landing of the boats that visit the southern part of the glacier Perito Moreno. Many tourists pass by here, so these animals are accustomed to humans.
