Rome 165 view 11a of the Roman Forum from the Pala

Author 'Ninik' (Id 140895 ) : Now we will visit the Palatine Hill, one of the seven hills of Rome, overlooking the Roman Forum. Irregular quadrangle of about 2 km in circumference and a height of 70 meters, it occupied a central position in ancient Rome. Under the Empire, the Palatine was occupied by large houses built for the emperors, which gave birth to the word "palace". Their ruins are now a large part of the hill. Pictured is a beautiful view on the forum where you can see (from left to right): The temple of Castor and Pollux, the Temple of Saturn, the Tabularium, the arch of Septimius Severus and the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina (behind trees). In the background, while white stone and topped by two equestrian statues, one can see the Vittoriano (monument to Victor Emmanuel II).

This is one I prefer because of the vegetation in the foreground. Congratulations on this series of photos of Rome and thank you for sharing Ninik.
