There are the same roofs in Strasbourg ! It's funny how these small windows on the roofs. Thank you for this series of photos on Berlin Cathy.

It is true that at Strasbourg we see similar houses, but the Alsace, which I love, seems to me to be much more German than French. Thank you for your passage Gipsy.

It is a trompe-l'oeil on the facade white if a square meter of lost, up to the top of the roof, not wasting for the germans, but under the roof, it must get very hot in summer, not otherwise, I agree with you, they are all beautiful these houses, thank you Catherine

No, this is not a trompe-l'oeil, these houses are huge and very high, so that even under the roof the ceiling height is important. There is, of course, more each than below, but it must remain bearable, and then they are not all inhabited up to the top.
