Ruins Abbey

Author 'Ghislain' (Id 198293 ) : The Abbey of Villers-la-Ville, founded in 1146 by cistercians from Clervaux undergone several periods of prosperity. After 1796 iconoclasts would take us to leave this romantic look under the ivy invader. We can only regret this decline. We brewed a good beer. Fortunately the recipe was saved : the Old Villers !

Ho, not so pleasant as that ! They had their bizness of evangelization by the care for pilgrims, the sick, the cultivation of hops, herbal products to the pharmacy, the vine, too, the work of the fields, the livestock, etc... They were in autarky. Thank you for your passage on this photo tourist.

The beer is like the 'blood' of Belgium. It is the fault of the monks. Of French in origin. Thank you for your like and put in favorite.

(Ghislain)
