Our ancient builders had the gift of the beautiful work in places unlikely and yet these buildings are still resisting, and what a wonder to discover them ;
Thank you for sharing.

What a pretty dip on this abbey where you can see very distinctly the cloister.
The environment is enchanting.
I think that this kind of abbey is not open to the public and remains a place of secret where the priests have to meditate in peace ; it is a nice point of view including the

Thank you Nicole for your passage
and if that tries you can visit, and even make a small living room in this Abbey which has been restored, and now houses members of the Community of the Beatitudes. It can be accessed on foot but also now in the jeep

A true jewel lost in the wild environment of the Pyrenees-Oorientales. There is no need to say, the 'p'tits fathers' knew well where to nest and from their places of meditations.

I did the same photo a long time ago ? I was perched on a rock. At the time I was young (30 years younger). Thank you for this beautiful photo. I loved it.

This makes me think about the famous Meteora in Greece. Very nice composition Mady, what a view ! Would it be a fig tree that I see on the left, well-lit, a soft, very pleasant light bathes this monastery.

Very nice view on the abbey perched on its rock, but why did you cut off the building on the bottom of the image ? Bravo

Thanks Jean-Mi for your passage. I cut a bit of the building down in order to keep enough sky above the mountain and above all to avoid a barrier protecting the point of a view, somewhat aesthetic (I had to still clear up a little
) I haven't found my point of view 40 years ago
